Gaithersburg Elections - Major and Council Member Results

Congratulations to the Mayor Sidney A. Katz and council members Michael A. Sesma (a neuroscientist at NIH Bethesda) and Henry F. Marraffa Jr. (businessman and contractor) on their re-elections.

Mayor Katz has been mayor of Gaithersburg since 1998 and won with approximately 60% of the votes. The mayor owns Wolfson's department store on East Diamond avenue. His challenger was real estate developer and Kentlands resident, Richard Koch. The challenger on the council side was Tom Rowse of Deer Park.
